THE ROCK RESTAURANT
Everything
about Rock Restaurant and Firestick Café is eye-catching. Starting with the
architecture of the new restaurant, which appears to be a simple tin shed from
the exterior, you are delighted when you enter as light, vineyard views and a
contemporary atmosphere welcome you.
Chef
Andrew Clarke’s attention to detail with his food is impressive. The quality
of the produce that he sources shows his dedication to bringing visitors and
locals in the Hunter Valley into a new world of dining. His passion about food
and new trends shines in his menus.
The
Firestick Café for lunch dining is a great destination when looking for
something simple and tasty to break up your day of wine tasting. The
wood-fired oven has encouraged Andrew to produce gourmet wood fired pizzas
that tantalise the taste buds. It is also a great place work on your food and
wine matching skills as you can select a range of dishes in either main or
entrée size and match it with one of the 16 Pooles Rock wines that feature on
the wine list, all being available by the glass.
The
Rock Restaurant emerges out of Firestick Café from 6pm and offers diners two
options from the menu. Choose to indulge in a degustation style by selecting
any of the dishes and relax as you are taken on a journey of gourmet,
artistically presented food. Or perhaps a two or three course meal is more to
your liking for this occasion. The beauty is that every dish is available in
either degustation, entrée or main size, meaning everyone can satisfy their
individual hunger needs.
Firestick café is opened seven days a week from 9.30am to 5pm and The Rock Restaurant is open Thursday to Saturday from 6pm.
